On August 31, 2024, I organized the first Music Picnic in the Stadtgarten Schwäbisch Gmünd together with Vinzenz Graupner and Nils Hoffmann. As part of the “Gmünder Sommer,” we transformed the front area of the park into a place of relaxed encounters, musical diversity, and intergenerational harmony.

Between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM, around 150 guests were able to picnic on brought blankets, dance, or simply enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. In addition to ethereal sounds and electronic ambient music, the band “Time of Transition” featuring Nils Hoffmann, Michael von Haas, and Paul Garrecht offered a meditative sound journey with jazz elements, hang drum, and saxophone.

Together with Vinzenz Graupner, I provided pleasant breakbeats, downtempo, and electronic grooves at the turntables. We were also supported by local restaurateur Arian Rührle, who provided speakers.

This non-commercial event was intentionally designed to bring together people of all ages and promote cultural exchange outside of traditional event spaces. The relaxed success and positive feedback from guests already motivate us for future continuations.
